Geoff Hendrick is a technical strategist and business solutions architect consulting to education.au Ltd on next generation e-learning architectures.

Geoff is based in Adelaide, Australia and has consulted widely to Federal and State Government’s in areas such as architecting enterprise web applications, online service delivery and information architectures.

He has consulted to a number of national and international education and training projects that involve building federated trust networks for interchanging information and services using open XML-based interoperability standards and service-oriented architectures.

He is currently engaged in building enterprise-class open standards-compliant web e-learning portals using open source components, with integrated repositories, metadata management, content management, single sign on, federated access control, federated search and harvesting, XML-based content, RSS/RDF news aggregators and collaborative workspaces.

Geoff has published papers and presented at conferences in Australia and internationally on these subjects. He has also served on the Federal Government MCEETYA ICT in Schools Taskforce looking at Learning Architectures and Standards.

Geoff has participated in a number of international interoperability standards activities. He contributed to the IMS Query Special Interest Group and co-chaired the Alti-Lab 2005 working session on “Applications for Distributed Content”.

Prior to forming his own consultancy, Geoff worked with Deloitte, IBM and Telstra. He is the author of a number of papers and South Australian Government reports in areas such as Identity Management, IT standards and IT architectural frameworks.
