On Wednesday, 11 June at 9:30am Adelaide, South Australia time (click here to find your time) - I will be live blogging the National e-Portfiolio Symposium presentations in real time and you will be able to comment and discuss the presentations here as they happen. You don’t need to register.
I’ll be live blogging until noon and then popping back to the office to get the audio files up and available for both the education.au seminar podcast feed and the edna Group set up for the Symposium http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=1811
I’ll look forward to your company on the day!
If you’ll be blogging, flickring or otherwise communicating via the web on the day, the tag is edaunep.

PS - As of Saturday, 7 June 2008, the good folks at CoverItLive had our time incorrectly set to Daylight Savings time. Use the link to the fixed World Time Clock as your guide to when the action starts and stops.

I have been replaying the ePortfolio symposium held yesterday and I am really interested. I have been implementing ePortfolios at Epsom Primary School from Prep to GR 6 except we call them Digital Learning Portfolios with an emphasis on “learning”.
I am interested to hear more as it is neccesary to have the children working on Portfolios that will give them an easy run into the ePortfolios in industry. Imagine a grade 2 student who already can create video, sound and text to give evidence of their learning and to reflect upon their learning and future learning needs.
Who can I contact to find out more? Will there be an eLearning Portfolio Symposium for K-12 educators or has there been one already. I am planning to give a presentation with the Knowledge bank online conferences in Victoria about Digital Learning Portfolios in August I think.
Cheers from Jenny Ashby
Hi Jenny
I’ve passed your question on to some senior staff who have been researching eportfolios and asked that they reply to you here.
You may also want to check out the edna Group set up to open up yesterday’s discussion to those unable to attend and to extend the conversations from yesterday - http://www.groups.edna.edu.au/course/view.php?id=1811
Hi Jenny
More information can be found at the forum page as mentioned by KerryJ. We will be establishing another group for a range of interested parties to keep in touch and share information soon.
At this stage there will be a final report from the symposium published. There are no plans for another symposium at this stage but I think there will be more events in the future as eportfolios become more popular.
Kind regards
Suzanne
