Have an interest in using immersive learning environments and have ten minutes or so to spare?
TAFE SA’s Jacinta Ryan and Ruth Fraser are taking a group of students into Second Life to practice their customer service skills - and are looking for volunteer guest educators to come in world and role play as customers on Friday, 4 September from 11a to 12pm Australian Central Standard Time. Their last round of training with learners in Second Life was featured in the video “Immersive Learning: it’s game on” produced for Education.au’s Immersive Learning unit.
If you’re interested in helping out and have some experience using Second Life, please use this Google form - http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEEyMzRZSkE0TnVIWlh5dndFamxEekE6MA to provide your contact details and Jacinta and Ruth will get back to you with details.
As I’ve set up this form– if you have problems using it, please contact me - kjohnson (at) educationau.edu.au
And if you are an educator with a project in a virtual world or immersive game, I’d love to hear about it and act as a mirror to your candle (as Nancy White would say). Please get in touch.
