    Hi,

It’s not quite that simple in NSW.
The last two days of term, 17 & 18 December 2009, have been designated as staff-only School Development Days. So, the last day for students in NSW is Wednesday 16 December.

Similarly, the first day of Term 1, 2010 is also a School Development Day in NSW. To further complicate matters, the state is divided in an Eastern and Western Division. In the Eastern Division, the first day of Term 1 is Wednesday 28 January - most students will start on the next day. In the Western Division, the first day of Term 1 is Wednesday 3 February - with most students starting on Thursday 4 February.
