Do teachers want to talk online?

There is evidence in the success of edna Groups to indicate that educators want to talk to each other online. Groups now has 1,000 groups with 14,000 people as members. edna Groups was started in 2005 and is growing rapidly as more people realise that the medium is a very effective way for people not physically together to stay in touch. You can find Groups at: http://www.groups.edna.edu.au

What I find really cool about edna.Groups is the rich set of collaboration tools that make it much more than a forum to exchange ideas. Going beyond talking online, people can really collaborate together to build and exchange educational resources and practices.

From my understanding of myedna 2, this will really help educators bridge the gaps between a member, their profile and their edna participation in Groups & Lists, as well as all many other non-edna web services such as del.icio.us, youtube and flickr.

So much more than talking online - doing!
