Subscribing to feeds in FireFox 2

Firefox 2.0 has just been released, and should become the browser of choice for many people.

One of its many improvements is a much better way to subscibe to website RSS feeds.

In this post I’ll show how you can subscribe to the rss feed for blogs.educationau.edu.au.

Firstly, download and install Firefox 2.0. This post will still be here when you return..

Now, browse to the blogs.educationau.edu.au website. You’ll note that the “feed icon” is displayed.

Click on the feed icon, and you’ll see the site’s feed, with the option to “Subscribe to this feed using…”.

I’m a Google Reader user, so I’ll select that option.

Then I’m taken to my feed reader, and can view the feed in that.

That’s it! Now I’ll see new items whenever they are posted on the blogs.educationau.edu.au website.

Thanks for that Nick! I’ve just installed FireFox 2.0 and that is a very sexy little option.
