Add Education.au blogs to your browser’s search

There’s no doubt that the set of bloggers we have here at education.au are a wonderful resource who’s collective wisdom would enhance the day of any person.

That’s why I’ve enabled OpenSearch on the blogs.educationau.edu.au website: now you can search our collected writing directly from your browser.

The next time you visit the blogs.educationau.edu.au site you’ll see the following:

Note the highlighted icon, or even better click on it! That will let you add the education.au blogs search engine to your list of search engine providers.

    Hi Nick,

    Very cool!

    You may also want to add the OpenSearch link to all the pages on the site, not just the index. I’ve found that people are just as likely to land on an individual post page (such as this one) as they are on the homepage.

    You’re right about putting the link on all pages - there are some infrastructure issues which make that a lot more difficult, though. It’s on the to-do list.
