- Lessons learned take a long to write, proof and finalise.

Wow it’s done. It’s been a very useful exercise to thoroughly go through the lessons learned for the myedna POC. Already I’m applying it in the next POC which started yesterday.
I’ve been fascinated by this process of innovation because it really gives structure and substance to software development methodology of rapid prototyping. It is worth noting that if a development project has no new concepts to prove then it is certainly not worthwhile in running a POC.
What we did was not produce something technically robust but something that is conceptually sound. The team thinks the myedna POC illustrates the core concepts of how we could answer educator’s online needs for a learning space - in a more creative and holistic way.
Two exciting outcomes from this proof of concept:
1. Rolling the concepts here into an project investigation/feasibility study. This does not mean the project will go ahead as we envisaged but it’s certainly the next prudent step.
2. Understanding the process and elements of innovation better and taking that forward to the next POC.
